Some
employers and apartment managers require a criminal background check
during the application process, but do not want the time or expense of a
nation-wide fingerprint check.
The Court Services Office can provide you with a Madison County
background check.
This check will be by name, through our jail files only.
It will contain criminal history only if the person was arrested
and actually incarcerated in the Madison County Jail.
It will not include minor traffic offenses where only a citation
was issued to the individual.
It will also not include juvenile records.
Finally, this check would be current only through December 08,
2000, when the Madison County Jail closed.
Inquiries after December 08, 2000 should be directed to the
Tri-County Regional Jail at (937) 834-5000. Please bring a picture
identification, preferably a driver’s license or state identification
card.
